Collaboration through the Queen’s University PhD–Community Initiative will strengthen program evaluation, impact measurement and long-term sustainability.

Emole Futures Initiative is pleased to announce a new research collaboration through the Queen’s University PhD–Community Initiative, bringing together doctoral researchers and community leaders to advance opportunities for Black youth and other underrepresented communities.

The Emole and Queen’s project team held its inaugural meeting on October 19, 2026, marking an important milestone in the organization’s development.

Strategic Priorities

The collaboration will focus on two strategic priorities:

1. Measuring Program Impact

Developing an evidence-based framework to evaluate the effectiveness of Emole’s youth programs in Business, Artificial Intelligence, STEM and Leadership. The work will focus on understanding how these programs strengthen participants’ knowledge, confidence, practical skills and awareness of future educational and career pathways.

2. Building Long-Term Sustainability

Exploring sustainable funding strategies, organizational capacity, partnerships and growth opportunities to support Emole’s expansion and its long-term ambition of making high-quality educational programs accessible to more young people, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Expected Outcomes

The collaboration aims to produce practical outcomes, including:

  • A comprehensive program evaluation and impact measurement framework.
  • Tools for tracking student development and program effectiveness.
  • A sustainable funding and organizational growth strategy.
  • A strategic roadmap to guide Emole’s expansion over the next three to five years.
