Our impact

From launch to action: practical pathways for young people

Emole Futures Initiative was incorporated in April 2026. In our first year we launched connected programs in STEM, AI, business and leadership for Black youth and other underrepresented youth in Kingston, Ontario. Every number on this page is verified, and we update it after each cohort.

An 8-week business and entrepreneurship program covering fundamentals, leadership and real-world exposure, delivered virtually and in person.

    Incorporated under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act.

  2. Jul 4 – Aug 29

    Inaugural Black Youth in Business cohort

    Four high school students complete an 8-week business and entrepreneurship program.

  3. Summer

    Industry visit to Apogee Ceramics

    Students tour a manufacturing business in Paris, Ontario and learn about operations and entrepreneurship.

  4. Aug 23

    Black Youth in Careers panel

    About 7 high school students hear from career speakers Thandi Nkole and Tayo Akinwale about their journeys and lessons learned.

  5. Sep 26

    Black Youth in STEM opens

    23 students begin, with a library orientation, team activities and a cup-stacking challenge.

  6. Sep 27

    Black Youth in AI begins

    High school students start 8 weeks of virtual AI learning.

  7. Fall

    Black Youth in Leadership in action

    Business program graduates return as volunteers supporting younger learners.
